About

Informed by the materials, processes and places I am working with, I create sculptural narratives reflecting observations about this earth, the life it supports, and humankind’s occupation and understanding of its origins and changes over time. Recurring themes of origin and transformation permeate my work with their expression often taking form using a vocabulary of totemic Mimi and metaphorical creator and chilli sculptural elements.

My past work experiences inform my creatIve process and understanding of materials and form – and I enjoy seeing how my work alters the space it inhabits. I am currently using copper, found rocks and ceramics for most of my sculptural work. I have additionally, been using clay pots to explore form, texture and colour. In scale, my work ranges from small to mid size sculptures to larger installations in the landscape.
