Silver-linings

With all the bad news of COVID 19 and everything closing, stopping, shutting and having to stay home. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to really enjoy having time and space to work from home. Pot in progress earlier this week.

Ode to Barbara Hepworth

Instagram screenshot of post showing Barbara Hepworth at work - her head iand upper torso in centre of hollow curved form she is making in plaster.

Saw this image of Barbara Hepworth at work on Instagram the other day. Couldn’t help noticing a similarity with my piece ‘Barbara Seed’ from 2017 which I made in honour of Barbara Hepworth. A seed was sown in me many, many years ago when I first saw her work in its place of origin when visiting her studio in Cornwall. Thanks to a role model.

New website

Pleased to be getting this new website up and running. Still items to add and a lot of editing to do. Suspect it will permanently be ‘under construction’. Thanks to George Stickney at City Lit for all his patient assistance.
